Hi, I'm Andrew Long. At Mad Genius I work across the full stack: designing databases, building and integrating APIs, connecting CMS platforms, and shaping the architecture that ties an application together. I'm equally at home on the frontend with modern JavaScript frameworks and WordPress.
What differentiates me is how I think beyond the code. I understand full-scale business logistics and can translate complex technical problems into clear, actionable direction for non-technical stakeholders. I approach every engagement with an entrepreneurial mindset, using data to inform decisions and identify real growth opportunities. Open-source CLI tool written in Go that batch-compresses entire image folders in seconds. It hits a target file size using binary search across WebP, AVIF, JPEG, and PNG. Zero config, one command.
Command-line RAW converter written in Go. Handles CR2, NEF, ARW, DNG and 25+ camera formats, converting a single file or a whole folder to JPEG, PNG, TIFF, WebP or AVIF. Run it with no arguments and it walks you through an interactive wizard.
